Voices of the forgotten

A few months ago, I had the privilege of hearing Mr. Prakash, founder of New Hope India ministries, speak about the work he and the members of his Christian mission are doing to help India’s orphans, women and lepers.

As an author, I realized that this work offers and incredibly unique opportunity to capture the challenges and successes of both Mr. Prakash, his team and, perhaps most importantly, those who are impacted by his work. The opposition to the Christian-based, humanitarian project is great as India’s primary religions are Hinduism and Islam.

My vision is to raise awareness of the situation “on the ground”.  I want to research and write the myriad of stories of the sufferers and to that end, I ask your help. My current plans are to travel to India to interview the organization’s members and visit a leper colony and speak with those who receive help from New Hope.

With your help, I will be able to give voice to the voiceless, empowering them to share their stories with the world.

Thank you.

Live inspired,
