My parents had about 35 years together before my mom passed away. Afterwards, my dad gave me some great marriage advice that I try to apply still today.
“Don’t take on the little things,” he said. “Time together is too short to waste arguing.
I think those are such true words.
That’s time that can never be reclaimed. So before you decide to vent your frustration, decide if it’s an issue that’s even worth being frustrated about. If it is, then find a calm moment to talk about it and also to listen to your spouse’s side of the story.
If not, just throw it out of your mind and love your spouse like there’s no tomorrow!
