One of the huge differences in adulthood vs. childhood is the lack of playtime. As a kid I spent hours reading in a tree or launching surprise Indian attacks on my best friend but at some unrecognizable point, I crossed the line…and grew up. Now, I have to make time to play-something to which I’m sure you can relate.
It’s critical to make-not find-time for fun with our spouse because without it, life becomes really mundane. Date night doesn’t always have to be dinner. Ever think of going ziplining instead? Or maybe send the kids to bed early and whip out the Scrabble board? Hide and seek minus the clothes? 🙂
No matter what you do, make the time for some relaxed fun. It’s worth it!
