What Real Christianity Looks Like

A few days before the new year I  vacationed with my family in Tennessee. We decided to go on a hike in the Smoky Mountain National Park. I say “we” but I must confess it was more “me” wanting to test out my new Nikon D3400 camera. My family and I hiked about 1.5 miles along some narrow trails until we came to this beautiful waterfall that just gushed down about a hundred or so feet.

On the way up, my seven-year-old daughter remarked, “Daddy this is like the Christian life. It’s really hard sometimes but there’s something special at the end of it all.”

Truly wisdom comes from the mouths of children! When I caught this shot, I realized that not only was the hike a good parable of Christianity but the fall at the end captures what our lives should be like: overflowing with the goodness, love and power of Jesus Christ (Gal. 5:22).

I’ll keep posting more pics so come back often. Enjoy!
